Sometimes clowns give people nightmares, and I never really understood why until getting this image. Yes, that is a small toy clown standing in an obviously abandoned structure.

Yet another fine photo op courtesy of Michigan Central Station. There are few better lighting sources than the sun, and in this case the colors were highlighted as the setting sun reflected off of the building through a window behind me.

While this scene looks like the aftermath of a hurricane, this was found in Southeast Michigan – far away from such weather conditions.

Once the main method of transportation around the country, many former railways just simply aren’t used any longer. Now they’re left to decay and rot on their own, forgotten and unused.

One of the most calming experiences that people enjoy is a sunrise. When that sunrise happens over an ocean while enjoying a vacation on a beach, well, so much the better.
