Now, if you’re a golfer, this is NOT the sky you want to see.
This shot was captured on Hilton Head Island at sunrise. There was a storm moving through the area as I was taking these shots. It actually created a very dramatic effect, as storm clouds near the ocean usually do. The weather seemed appropriate, though, with this particular stretch of the course. The danger from above seemed to match perfectly the danger of shooting wrong into any one of the available traps.
Despite the ominous clouds overhead, there was an eerie calmness on the course, reflected in the stillness of the water trap and the flag at the cup. It was an interesting moment of contradictions, and one I was happy to be able to capture.
