While this scene looks like the aftermath of a hurricane, this was found in Southeast Michigan – far away from such weather conditions.

The light in this particular area was excellent in highlighting the contrast in the light and dark areas of the scene. Focusing on this portion of the pile made my imagination race, piecing together the unnatural destruction as it occurred over the past 20 years. You really get a sense of the layers that make up this scene, and can see the different stages of decay the closer you get to the ground. There’s always something new in it to look at.
