The light here perfectly highlights the table and chairs, almost like a spotlight, drawing attention to activities that will never come. There are 1000 things that could’ve been going on here. Was this setup for a meal? A card game? Chess perhaps? You can also pick up highlights of the neglect that this room has been subjected to for the better part of 20 years. And yet this table will continue empty – waiting – while the rest of the building decays around it.

Amazing photograph. The contrast, lights and shadows make it so dramatic–even beyond the scenery itself.
You know what was most interesting Trudy is that the color version that I originally took was quite drab. It wasn’t interesting at all. This was one I looked at again more than a year after taking it. The b&w conversion is what brought out the detail in the lights and shadows. It certainly taught me to always experiment.
