Gotham

Few would argue that there is something just completely mesmerizing about New York City. Love it or hate it – its draw is irresistible.

On a recent vacation to New York City, we had the privilege of staying in a hotel where we were greeted to this view when we opened the blinds of our window. In fact every night we were there I would just stare out the window taking in this grand view. So of course I knew I had to get a picture. On this particular evening a storm had passed through, leaving low cloud cover in its wake. The lights from the city reflected off of the blanket over the city, contrasting with the street lights that lit the streets far below. Staying in Brooklyn Heights meant enjoying the old world, classic architecture of that storied neighborhood. Rising over the edge of those buildings was the mix of new and old skyscrapers of Lower Manhattan. It made for a very moody, mesmerizing scene for all the reasons that New York has to offer.

This one is best enjoyed large. Offered in 16″x10″ size for $325.
